Elevate ReEntry Foundation was founded by two successful entrepreneurs who are also justice-impacted individuals. After overcoming incarceration, addiction, and housing instability, they built thriving businesses and now use their lived experience to uplift others. Through Elevate, they’ve assembled a dedicated team and Board of Directors committed to providing the tools, support, and opportunities needed for lasting reentry success. Together, we believe in the power of second chances, community healing, and helping others build stable, empowered futures.

Our Story

Elevate ReEntry Foundation was founded by Joseph De Vera and Joshua Bonoan, both successful entrepreneurs and justice-impacted individuals. Joey received vocational training as a tattoo artist specializing in eyebrow work, while Josh trained as a barber, both through reentry programs that helped them transition from incarceration to thriving careers. Now business owners, they’ve created Elevate to help others find the same stability and success. Together with a dedicated Board of Directors, they offer full wraparound services to support healing, empowerment, and long-term reentry success.
